Handy hints for when packing
Packing your small items into boxes specifically designed for removal will significantly shorten your moving time and cost. Budget Movers has a full range of packing materials. Handy hints for packing
1. A very common mistake we have come across is under estimation of the pre-packing stage we strongly recommend to start the packing at early stage and make sure it’s done before the moving day.
2. Use bubble wrap on large vases, bowls, glassware, etc.
3. Organise your goods so you know what to pack to which box.
4. Never let newspaper touch your goods as the ink rubs off.
5. Try to balance the weight between the boxes.
6. When packing fragile items, use of bubble wrap is most recommended, to reduce the risk of damage.
How to pack
When packing yourself, knowing some of the basic skills is very important . here some advice from the guys at Budget Movers , and remember if you value your small breakable goods, consider using some of these hints
1. Try to use proper removal boxes. It will make your task easier, your items will be safer, and your pre-packing will be completed faster.
2. Secure the bottom of the box with high quality tape.
3. Plan what you are putting in each box.
4. Try to keep all fragile goods together and in minimal number of boxes.
5. Place a layer of the heavier items on the bottom of the box and lighter items on top, individually wrapped in plain paper and bubble wrap for more fragile items.
6. Finish flush to the top of the box with a final layer of crushed paper. All items should fit tightly to ensure there is no movement.
7. Close and tape the box, marking clearly its contents and the room it’s going to. For example, Glassware Dining Room.
